As our families grow, so do their creative spaces.  This spring, Tenn Little Birds is hosting the inaugural season of EAST Collective, offering theater and storytelling classes for children and adults. EAST Collective classes will be held at Tenn Little Birds this season as we build toward the launch of our dedicated theater space and sister studio in East Nashville.

Little Story Players 

Dates: Starting March 23rd | Time: 3:30p -4:15p

Ages: 4 -5 years  | Tuition: $300

Little Story Players is a warm, imagination-rich theater class designed especially for preschool-aged children. Through guided play, creative movement, simple characters, and collaborative storytelling, young artists begin exploring how stories come to life.

This class focuses on confidence, imagination, and joyful group participation — all in a supportive, low-pressure environment.

Story Players 

Dates: Starting March 23rd | Time: 4:30p - 5:15p

Ages: K - 2nd Grade  | Tuition: $300

Story Players is a playful, drop-off theater class for kindergarten–2nd grade students who love stories, imagination, and creative play.

Through theater games, movement, improvisation, and collaborative storytelling, children explore how stories are built — and how to bring them to life using their voices, bodies, and ideas. Each class follows a familiar rhythm so kids feel confident, supported, and excited to participate.

This class focuses on creativity, confidence, listening, and teamwork rather than memorization or pressure to perform. Students will co-create short scenes together and share their work in a light, informal way at the end of the session.

Intro to Meisner  |  The Art of Listening

Dates: Starting March 23rd | Time: 6:00p - 8:00p

Adults Only  | Tuition: $400

An introduction to the foundational principles of the Meisner technique.

This series focuses on:
 • Deep listening
 • Responding truthfully in the moment
 • Connection over performance
 • Building authentic presence

Designed for beginners and returning artists alike, this course lays the groundwork for an ongoing adult studio at EAST.
